Meet our new graduates: Nancy Shah

Meet our testing graduates, Avocado Consulting - deliver with certainty

Hi, my name is Nancy Shah, I am a Graduate Test Consultant at Avocado. I have a ISQTB tester certification and a year of work experience in the IT industry.

I decided to pursue my passion in the IT industry because I enjoy working with new technology and learning about the major impacts it has on daily our life. In my previous role I was able to get a little taste for software testing, as I was learning about different software daily.  After a lot of research and hard work, I have found my niche in software testing. There is a lot to look forward to in this new role, as it offers great training and guidance. There are also opportunities to network with people in the industry and working with different clients on their projects.

The strengths I bring to this new role is my attention to detail which is crucial as a tester, and my communication skills because it’s important to be clear and precise when communicating with your team and clients. I also have a willingness to learn and a can-do attitude, which encourages constant learning and growth. In the future I’m looking to excel my career as a tester and gain experience and exposure towards software test automation and cloud computing.

My advice to any graduates looking for a job at Avocado is, just be yourself, back your knowledge and always ask questions when in doubt, the support and guidance of the Avocado team will allow you to grow and flourish in your industry.

I decided to choose the testing career path due to my interest in software and testing. I was very eager to develop my skills and enhance my knowledge in the testing industry because it is something I thoroughly enjoy. While my interest in the field drives my passion to succeed in the industry, through the graduate program I hope to continue to improve my skills and ensure I’m equipped with a deep understanding and skill set to pursue a career in testing.
